Project Overview: The Iranian Scientific Society for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to advancing and promoting scientific research in the field of suicide prevention. The society aims to improve the quality of training for specialists and enhance educational and research activities related to identifying risk factors, diagnosing suicidal thoughts and behaviors, and preventing suicide. This society operates under a license from the Scientific Associations Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
Introduction: I built this website as a volunteer effort, recognizing the crucial importance of the society’s mission. The goal was to design a website based on the provided PDF design, ensuring it was user-friendly and effectively communicated the society’s mission and resources.
Challenges: The primary challenge was transferring data from the old website, which was disorganized and full of content without proper categorization. Additionally, the person assisting me had limited knowledge of website development, which complicated the categorization and extraction of data. The old website also had technical issues, making data extraction more challenging.
Approach and Solutions: To address these challenges, I asked simplified and relevant questions to gather the necessary information and effectively categorized all content. I transferred both previous and new content in a neat and organized manner. I used Elementor and Revolution Slider to build the website according to the PDF design provided by the client. Security customizations were also implemented to ensure the safety of the site.
